IFESS 2012 is excited to announce that travel awards of $500 CDN are available for trainees and early career investigators! To qualify for a travel award you must:
Be an author of a paper (oral or poster)
Be a member of the International Functional Electrical Stimulation Society. The applicants can become members of the Society through https://ifess.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=3
Since 2000 IFESS provides for the best three student papers the "Vodovnik Award".
The winners from first to third place are awarded with US$ 500, 400, 300 respectively and will be invited to publish the paper in Artificial Organs. Click here for more information about Dr. Lojze Vodovnik. Only student members of IFESS qualify for the Vodovnik Awards.

The paper, the presentation and the discussion will be reviewed by the student paper award committee according to IFESS guidelines.
The Spinal Cord Injury Treatment Centre (Northern Alberta) Society (SCITCS) approached IFESS to establish the Bohdan V. Olijnyk Research Participant Award to recognize the partnership between the researcher and the volunteer participants required to move research from the laboratory to the community.
